About

Where these jobs come from

Career Discovery is a search over open tech roles in Nepal. It hosts no postings of its own: every result links to the page it was found on, and you apply there, with the employer or the portal.

We respect your robots.txt and your terms of service

How a search works

Searching here does not crawl anything. A scheduled run reads the sites and writes what it found to an index; your search reads that index. That is why results are instant, and why typing does not send a hundred requests to other people's servers.

It also means a role can be gone before we notice. Every card links to the original posting, which is the page that decides — if it 404s or says closed, that is the truth, not our listing.

What our crawler reads

Our crawler identifies itself as CareerScannerBot/1.0 and carries a contact address in its User-Agent, so anyone reading their server logs can see who we are and reach a human.

What we store, and what we don't

From a company careers page: the role's title, its link, the text around it, and the company's public address, so a card can say where the job is.

From a job portal: the title, the link to that posting on the portal, and a short line of details capped at 200 characters. No full descriptions, no logos, no images. Email addresses and phone numbers are stripped out before anything is stored.

We do not collect personal data about job seekers, we have no accounts or tracking, and we do not sell or syndicate what we index. If you add a company and leave your email, it is used once — to tell you it is live.

If you run a site we read

You can have us stop, at any time, for any reason — no explanation needed. Email us and we will add your domain to our exclusion list and delete everything we stored from it. We aim to do that within one working day, and we will confirm when it is done.

The same address is the fastest route for a correction: a role attributed to the wrong employer, a stale listing that should be closed, or a link pointing at the wrong page.
